Color Block Leg Panel Upcycle Levi's #5

Reimagined from Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle jeans, these one-of-a-kind pieces are the result of slow, experimental making. Each pair has been deconstructed and rebuilt by hand: the side seams opened, and custom leg panels pieced together from hand-painted fabrics and meticulously topstitched directly onto the original denim. The result is a double front leg with two layers of fabric, the classic Levi's beneath and signature Slow Goods hand-painted color blocks on top. Made from existing denim and hand-painted off-cuts, rather than new materials, every pair is a singular piece that can't be replicated.

Materials + Care: Secondhand Levi's with added hand painted leg panels. Leg panels are made with European imported, GOTS certified, 12 oz. and 8 oz. brushed organic cotton twill. Color fabrics are painted in the Slow Goods home studio in micro batches. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low heat, medium iron. Like any quality piece of workwear denim, this piece will continue to soften and colors gently fade with time, as it is washed and lived in.
