The Khadi Overshirt
The Khadi Overshirt is a cozy, colorful and casual staple, made up in the softest, mid-weight handwoven khadi cotton in custom yarn-dyed colorways and finished with all natural corozo buttons.
The yarns used in creating this textile are hand-spun and handwoven by master artisans, and the final fabrics vary in complexity, from two-color check fabrics with two weft shuttles, to 14-color plaid fabrics with 24 weft shuttles, and more. The handwoven quality of these textiles may reveal slight variations within the weave of the fabric, adding to the truly handmade character of each garment. These Overshirts are garment washed and dried, giving the resulting garment a lovely nubby, soft and thick texture. Ready for layering with a boxy fit, curved hem, and 7/8 sleeves, the Overshirt is a year-round closet workhorse.
Garment Materials + Care: 100% Khadi cotton, hand-spun and handwoven in small batches in West Bengal. Hand wash or machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry extra low heat, steam iron if needed. These pieces have been garment washed and dried prior to shipping.
This garment is ethically made at Slow Goods HQ in Saint Louis, MO.

Please note: Finished garment measurements may vary slightly, usually within 1/2" or so of the listed measurements, due to the unique handwoven nature of each of these textiles, and slight variances in how the garment wash/dry process affects the woven cotton fibers. This is just one of the beautiful qualities of a textile made by human hands.
