Our favorite accessory: a knit bandana in 100% baby alpaca, soft to the touch with a lovely weight and drape. Tie around your neck on a cold morning, wear it as a head scarf, or knot loosely over a coat for a cozy bit of color through fall and winter.
Garment Materials + Care: 100% Baby Alpaca. Air your knits: alpaca has remarkable odor-resisting natural properties, so it rarely needs a full wash. Spot clean small marks with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. When a full wash is needed, hand wash in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle wool soap, without wringing or twisting. Roll in a towel to press out water and dry flat, away from direct heat. Store folded. Our alpaca continues to soften over time and develops a soft halo. Some light pilling is normal and can be gently picked off by hand.
A Note on our Baby Alpaca + production: This piece is knit in 100% Peruvian Baby Alpaca by our Fair Trade Certified artisan partners, a network of small family workshops across Peru. Each piece is knit on a manual knitting machine, operated by hand, then finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike: a reflection of the human hands who made each piece.
If you have any questions about this work or our supply chain, we'd love to hear from you. Please drop us a message.
